This poem is a conventional in its way of erotic expression and story narration. The poetess Cherie Sumner is trying to depict poetically, the erotic fun by way of an attempt to portray a couple challenging sexual willpower's, by way of a competitive approach to see who can tempt and who to breaking the climax point  and win the pleasure, in a most erotic way  indeed.
Challenge of Willpower
A battle raged from heaven, a challenge of stubborn wills
A man and a woman stirred inside with amorous thrills
Of carnal desire and deep needs they refused to confess
Instead, they tempted one another to make each obsess
(Sex desire is the most influential of human desires. The above lines depicts the transformation of mediocrity into genius through transmutation)
A competition, to see which one was weaker, and would cave
To succumb to flesh’s tempting call to make them misbehave
The woman used her sensual playfulness and feminine wiles
She flashed her hidden treasures, and did a dance to beguile
(When driven by erotic desire, men develop keenness of thoughts, courage, will-power, diligence, and creative ability unknown to them at other times)
Her cascading long hair served as a scanty covering veil
To cover her breasts, for a show that teased him very well
The man was consumed inside with burning flames of passion
So he sat upon his hands for self control to resist action
{A strong and impelling is the desire for sexual contact that everyone freely run the risk of life and reputation to indulge it. Among couples, there will be a competitive spirit in indulging sexual pre-play and pleasure)
To escape his vice and to preserve his wavering power
He tempted her, with his Rock of Gibraltar - mountain tower
Covered only by a small towel to display his length and girth
He straddled a chair to tease the woman for all it was worth
(The metamorphosis of sex energy calls for the exercise of will-power, to be sure, but the reward is worth the effort)
An effective strategy that her quivering desire took notice
So in return, she spread her legs to reveal her peddled lotus
A frenzy of emotions raced courses through their veins
As they both were on the brink of breaking under the strains
(The desire for sexual expression is inborn and natural. The couple need not feel shy over it. Instead, they need to be involved in sex as a pleasure to create more energy and power)
Then, in the still of the moment, a softness filled his face
And when she saw his eyes, her built tension was replaced
By an overwhelming need to simply take his warm hand
A reciprocated feeling that their hearts could understand
(The creative imagination functions best when the mind is vibrating (due to some form of mind stimulation) at an exceedingly high rate. That is, when the mind is functioning at a rate of vibration higher than that of ordinary, normal thought)
Suddenly, the conquering game transitioned to a truce
No longer a want to break one’s will in order to seduce
They both flew into each other’s arms, to savor skin on skin
An embrace wrapped in angelic wings and rushing wind
(The creativeness becomes more alert and receptive to vibrations, originating outside the individual's subconscious mind, the more this faculty is used, and the more the individual relies upon it, and makes demands upon it for thought impulses)
In rhythmic waves of exaltation, their wills were laid to rest
As each became absorbed with giving their lover all their best
In sweet surrender, two souls soared heaven like a dove
Trading a moot competition, for selfless making love
(The faculty of creative imagination is the direct link between the finite mind of man and Infinite Intelligence. All so-called revelations, referred to in the realm of religion, and all discoveries of basic or new principles in the field of invention, take place through the faculty of creative imagination.)

The word transmute means in simple language, the changing, or transferring of one element, or form of energy, into another. The emotion of sex brings into being a state of mind. Because of lack of knowledge on the subject, this state of mind is generally associated with the physical, and because of improper influences, to which most people have been subjected, in acquiring knowledge of sex, things essentially physical have highly biased the mind. The emotion of sex has back of it the possibility of three constructive potentialities, such as perpetuation of mankind, the transformation of mediocrity into genius through transmutation and grabbing the end results of erotic pleasure between the bodies of the two who are involved.

Sex transformation is simple and easily explained. It means the switching of the mind from thoughts of physical expression, to thoughts of some other nature. When driven by erotic desire, men develop keenness of imagination, courage, will-power, persistence, and creative ability unknown to them at other times. So strong and impelling is the desire for sexual contact that men freely run the risk of life and reputation to indulge it. When harnessed, and redirected along other lines, this motivating force maintains all of its attributes of keenness of imagination, courage, etc., which may be used as powerful creative forces in literature, art, or in any other profession or calling, including, of course, the accumulation of riches.

The metamorphosis of sex energy calls for the exercise of will-power, to be sure, but the reward is worth the effort. The desire for sexual expression is inborn and natural. The desire cannot, and should not be submerged or eliminated. But it should be given an outlet through forms of expression which enrich the body, mind, and spirit of man. If not given this form of outlet, through transmutation, it will seek outlets through purely physical channels.

The flow of a river may be stopped or dammed, and its water controlled for a period of time, but eventually, it will force an outlet. The same is true of the emotion of sex. It may be submerged and controlled for a time, but its very nature causes it to be ever seeking means of expression. If it is not transmuted into some creative effort it will find a less worthy outlet. Congratulations to Poetess Cherie Sumner for posting this poem with a novel concept in poetry which is being depicted in a true, fair and methodical writing.
